Isn't it weird how it's taking forever to get the basic medical gear for nurses and doctors but military-grade equipment was ready for just about every police precinct in every city in America at a moment's notice? =/

I wonder how many masks you could buy for the price of a concussion bomb? The police set off dozens of them on peaceful protesters in my city.

It appears we've chosen to stockpile weapons of violence over medical supplies.

I still can't believe we're barred from getting surgical masks.

The good news is, most USA citizens agree about how to handle the Covid19. It's just the "I want to go to applebees!" jerks are much louder. https://xkcd.com/2305/

It appears that the number of active cases in the U.S. is on a definite downswing. How much the recent riots and protests (I didn't see careful social distancing practiced uniformly there) will affect that it something I'm curious about. We'll see in about a week, I guess. Yes, it can take two weeks or more for Covid 19 symptoms to show, but most by far will show in about a week.

The unemployment rate in the U.S. is running about 16%. Not the feared 20%, but not the 13% the BLM reported earlier. It seemed to recover some jobs pretty well from the close to 20% that April probably had.

I've been wondering about that too. That's another reason I'm skeptical of these protests now, even if they're peaceful. You guys could be spreading the virus to other people! And burning buildings during an election year... that's easy to pin some of the economic downfall on. I know it's far more complicated than that, and what they did was chump change. The lizard brain of America won't see it that way.

The protesters I see are at least wearing masks. That's more than I can say for the douches swarming the lakes in the Ozark mountains.
