With the success of media like CBS' FBI and the Queen Latifah starring reboot of The Equalizer, this is proof that audiences don't care whether something is "woke" or not as long as they get some entertainment value from said media.

The Boys has been receiving criticisms from certain culture war hacks of being "infected by the woke" and yet it still manages to be a massive viewership success.

Perhaps things have changed somewhat in the last twenty years - likely a marked increase in demand for tokens, and a lowering of standards. But there's simply no way the proportion of black doctors will approach their fraction of the population, no more than the population of Jewish doctors will, unless steps are taken to ignore merit.

There's problematic aspects of it, both on a foundational and on a social level, though to suggest what you're saying is a tad reductive.
