I can agree there. Bring in young, new blood. I don't wanna appear ageist, but come on. Some of them have been there for decades. What experience can they possibly bring to the table except the system that threw us for a loop 20, 30 years ago?
Well, bipartisanship is dead because, IMO, the dems compromise on all the wrong things. Most of the time. You need to be able to walk the fine balance between policy wonk and charismatic sales pitch, which I find very few are able to do, which is probably why historically the GOP does very well on keeping a hold on the white house.
I'm very curious to see what happens come Nov 3.
As to Mr. Biden, he's never committed to that and in some cases seems to be walking it back. What a surprise. Like his flip-flopping on fracking, he's never held one consistent stance, and that's why, however much a crude man he is, Mr. 45 is smart to air those commercials in these Rust Belt states if he wants to win, not good policies.
Mr. Biden DARED him to put it on his web site. He did just that. Like... jeezaloo! I suspect the polls might be even more skewed this year. But the DNC has done a good job hiding Mr. Biden. Next week will be the proof in the pudding.
Can't wait till this is over. Put me down with CharlesPhipps over there.

So much so that I wonder if English is your first language.

Technically, all that means is that one is more personable than the other, not that one would make a better president. Would you rather have a rude but hypercompetant president or a charismatic fool?
PS no, I am not saying Trump is hypercompetant. I am merely illustrating the point.

Highest voter turnout ever supposedly. I personally think that speaks to postal ballots. Even the laziest slob can seal and post an envelope.
For a country where it's previous turnout had been dropping for 30 yrs, it is interesting what the host of The Apprentice has done for inspiring people to get off their ass.

Jeez, you're just dripping with contempt for American voters, aren't you? =/

Got to elevate his sense of self-worth somehow. I'm sure you can relate.

Only half the country ever votes. There's every reason to be skeptical of the so-called "land of democracy" when we've never really had one.

This is a real problem in American systems.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 1:56 am Only half the country ever votes. There's every reason to be skeptical of the so-called "land of democracy" when we've never really had one.
Active voter suppression has been a core aspect of the whole paradigm since the beginning to say nothing of the myriad of ways the political and administrative systems exist to be conservative and hard to amend.
We unquestionably live under minority rule as 6/9 Supreme Court Justices were appointed by presidents who lost the popular vote, and were confirmed by a partisan senate who represent fewer people than the opposition party.
This is to say nothing of Gerrymandering which calls into question the legitimacy of the most representative body, the House of Representatives.

Well, in my case, it was the treatment of children along the border and also his stealing from his children's charity. The misuse of the Christian religion. His handling of Covid-19. His abuse of the DOJ. His casual corruption. His environmental stupidity. His embezzlement. The fact he's a rapist. His pandering to racists. The entire waste of the border wall. The refusal to give relief to the public during a pandemic. His enormous tax cuts for the already super-rich. His willingness to approve the genocide of Chinese minorities. His nepotism. His threats to cut social aid for families that desperately need it. His constant neverending breaking of the law and disdain for democracy. The fact that he refuses to pay any of his bills despite being a so-called billionaire.
I feel that, yes, Donald Trump has changed my opinion on voting. He made me desperate to want him out as a feral cretin who embodies the worst of America. But I would want him out just for the robbing his own charities for children.
