That was an awesome episode of Escaflowne, no doubt; but I always thought the character was a bit strange. It'll be interesting to see what Mr. Debris has to say about the conclusion of the show and its entirety. This episode dealt with the physical angle of Vaughn's meld with Escaflowne showing the battle scars, but I never quite saw where the sudden mental angle of his meld made him have a blackout.
