Scariest moment in a movie you've ever seen?
For me, hands down, it's the nuclear holocaust from Terminator 2. Frighteningly realistic, and as a child, I always had Mom skip it whenever we watched it, go to another channel till it was done. Even to this day, I can't watch it. I guess a close second would be Stan melting in the lava from "Volcano." Even if it's totally bullshit physics and very narm to some, it's just... very gritty in its hellishly orange and yellow and red glow through the subway car, dripping metal, very depressing, as he then comes to the end, sees the magma flow has outrun him, makes his choice and jumps in, screaming as he burns away, until he can't because his stomach has melted away...

The bed sucking scene from Nightmare on elm Street (original) though in fairness I saw it by accident when I was six.
