Favorite film review?

Forum activity has been kind of slow lately - myself included - so I figured I'd add a new thread, and no, has nothing to do with the favorite Trek film thread. For myself, hands down, it's no contest, The Dark Knight review. I love that movie. Greatest superhero/crime drama film EVER told. But a close second place would be The Matrix review, as his dissection on the nature of synthetic life, essentially boiling it down to creating a new lifeform with all the responsibilities that entails, and that it included a shout-out to vore, something I'm heavily into, well, was among his finest hours put to audio. Plus taking potshots at Keanu Reeves never gets old.

So, what do you guys think? Your favorite film review?

The Battlefield Earth review for the whole car backing out bit and the subject of Scientology and its craziness is a personal interest of mine.

I used to watch part two of the Matrix review regularly for time convenience and did that enough to the point where my impression became that part 1 was no different than those intro videos he does. Like, the point where part 2 starts is really close to the beginning and I naturally kinda forgot that there's a significant amount of movie before that.

Now when I come back to the review I watch the whole thing.

I might call the two movies you mentioned as my favorite because I've just watched them the most. Watching the Star Wars 4 review recently and I like how he consciously approaches the movie. I get how the concept of review dibs came about on tgwtg.com, but always thought it was a really silly construct to follow. I do remember E-Rod and Lupa making fun of it, but I digress. Anyways the running disclaimer is that he doesn't get into narrative review much and just unpacks the scenes and, while I don't think it departs from his practical approach really, the implied consciousness is pretty cool.
