Imdb's "connections" pages are a bit messy due to not having enough subcategories - so for instance "Referenced in" has all from similar scenes to mentions to Tgwtg Youtube reviews etc..
Made an account there and will see whom I can contact, however I don't expect them to just add new categories overnight.
Plus it doesn't have music pages, to my knowledge.
And TvTropes is being weird about similarities that either have too few examples and "don't amount to tropes", or aren't unambiguous and confirmed enough to count as "Shout Outs" - some kinda fear that if they allow that, the pages will get filled with bad random entries and they won't be able to keep up with cleaning it up... already sweating over cleaning up existing ones.
Made a thread there, a disruptive mod jumped in and started flamebaiting for no reason, other spineless mods all jumped on his side and now I'm banned lol - gonna contact the staff and in case they overturn this stupidity, I'll post some ideas on my thread there on how they can ease and speed up their example cleaning, maybe things can get improved there but so far this is what it looks like.
That site has great potential but seems to be in bad hands right now.
So, does anyone know some other resource site that analyzes works, points out patterns and resemblances etc.? I've found a whole bunch, a lot of them centered around GoT, the Matrix and a few other franchises, score&music resemblances etc., and am looking for some good place to post them on.
A contributable film/music resource website that documents similarities between movies, music etc (Imdb/TvTropes aside)?

Ah yes, rings a bell - ran into that site a while back, but had forgotten about it lol
Looks promising, though there seems to be a lack of categories (i.e.the Namespaces on top of pages) and the forum's activity looks a bit... scarce right now. Gonna try and see how suggesting new pages works there or how long it'll take for people to notice and respond etc.
In case it turns out to be too dead or other problems, further suggestions are of course still appreciated in case anyone knows some!

If I remember correctly, AllTheTropes was slapdashed together years ago when TVTropes decided to clean out any works pages for... heavily erotic content... *cough*Hentai*cough* After that, I think it's been left as a glorified archive...KitWargSpectacle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 16, 2020 10:54 pm Ah yes, rings a bell - ran into that site a while back, but had forgotten about it lol

The first version I found had a quite dead forum, but active editing activity.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 12:03 pmIf I remember correctly, AllTheTropes was slapdashed together years ago when TVTropes decided to clean out any works pages for... heavily erotic content... *cough*Hentai*cough* After that, I think it's been left as a glorified archive...KitWargSpectacle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 16, 2020 10:54 pm Ah yes, rings a bell - ran into that site a while back, but had forgotten about it lol

The second one one's also got ongoing editing, except the forums are quite active as well and the admins reply to questions:
https://allthetropes.org/wiki/
However would be cool if they got more traffic and activity/contributors, theTvTropes one has got shitty corrupt mods, a community scared of new pages cause they're too lazy "cleaning up" the current ones etc., it's not very good as a flagship version.
People should be recommended to go to AlltheTropes primarily, it's got the better more fitting (non-relic) title anyway.
