Nick Cannon said some rather unfortunate things. He said that Jews have usurped blacks' identity as the "true Hebrews" (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Hebrew_Israelites for what I think his context is). He got called out for this, and apologized, but it's not the first time he's gone anti-Semitic and this time Viacom fired his ass.
He also said a few things about white people:
When you have a person that has the lack of pigment, the lack of melanin, they know that they will be annihilated. So the people that don’t have [melanin] are—I’mma say this carefully—are a little less...They’re acting out of fear. They’re acting out of low self-esteem. They’re acting out of a deficiency. So, therefore, the only way they can act is evil.
And there was a hue and a cry from, well, not a lot of the mainstream media.
White privilege is when it's OK to attack white people for being white, right?
I think I keep commenting on news threads here because some part of me is worried I am in the wrong on these things but it doesn't seem like anyone is gonna convince me or vice versa either way because I ultimately come back to my individualistic worldview.

Yes and your worldview is the problem.

and that's my problem, people like you don't care about the individual, only the whole, like the Borg.
They are getting dragged for the antisemitism, and Nick Cannon apologized. The anti-white statements, not so much.
You know, when you say "white people are animals and Jews have stolen the identity that belongs to blacks," and you get in trouble ONLY for the latter statement, it makes it hard to argue that white privilege is real and Jewish privilege is not (or that white Jews have a lesser level of white privilege than white Gentiles).

I've tried now and again to pertain that white privilege isn't really supposed to say all that much. Not like how people make it out to be ironic every time a discrepancy happens. The amplitude white privilege you get online is mainly a reaction to people saying that everything is fixed and on a level playing field, which is recognized to be loserthink for many different subjects.
I'm really not sure what the big deal is about the statement. I think I get that "it's supposed to be a big deal" because it's a big deal when it happens the other way around, but the other way around is a pretty unrelated circumstance weighed completely differently. The best people ever cite is superficial contradictions, and it's an absolute undercutting of the historical arguments laid out in the dictation of critical race theory.

why is racism against whites different from racism against blacks? how can they be treated equally if it's always insisted their they be treated differently?
