In the trailer for ME4 there are two direct references to MEA one at the start when we see the Andromeda Galaxy and the second when Arc 6 is mentioned. Also, while it's hard to hear, after the "We've Lost Contract" a voice can be hear saying "Anomalies Detected Throughout This System."
ME4 has a LOT riding on it as it not get fans to come back after the ending of ME3 and the massive flop of MEA and Anthem. So, the question becomes, if ME4 is continuing the story left from ME3 should it likewise continue and or wrap up the story of MEA or should the series just try and move on from the game that tried to leave the Milky Way behind? MEA does have it's fans and there IS potential in MEA, as there is in all stories, and if BioWare is willing to continue the story of the original Trilogy then should they apply the same to MEA and make the Spin-off part of the main story and if so how?
My best guess would be a that some sort of Stargate like tech would be used that allow the two galaxies to connect to one other. Maybe the Remnant was from the Milky Way escaped like what happened with the Andromeda Initiative that had plans to try and combat the Reapers but something happened during the last cycle that cut them off from the Milky Way and part of ME4's story is trying to reestablish that connection.
But this is all speculation and at this point all I really want is for the series to just tell a good story that gets me back in the series again. While I don't much care for MEA I do think that it shouldn't be left unresolved and maybe finding a way to get MEA into the main story would help the series move forward.
Thoughts?

I don't really think you need to wrap it up.
It was a silly idea exploring another galaxy when there's probably 99.99999999% of the Milky Way Unexplored.
But I imagine you're right.

Mass Effect Andromeda was a great way to get around the definite-indefinite ending of the original Mass Effect trilogy, not forcing a set ending onto the player-base, while still retaining the base game principle. Plus, exploring a galaxy that doesn't get razed to essentially zero every 50,000 years, while being highly incentivized to re-develop along the exact same pre-set lines over and over again *is* an interesting prospect.
