Rampage is finally here and along with Megatron and Tarantulas is among my favorite preds. Sadly as far as i know there are no Depth Charge episodes in the que. Two quick asides, I'm pretty sure Megatron knew about about Tarantulas' bug as he looks strait at it and doesn't seem surprised at all when he shows up and though its not mentioned till s3 Rampage also seems to have cannibalistic tendencies just like Tarantulas.

In reading some of the stuff posted on tvtropes about Beast Wars two things came up that seemed odd. The first was that Colony Omicron must have been a human and bot colony for Rampage to have taken it out solo which I don't see any need for that assumption as it assumes all the bots were armed and competent fighters. Considering how long it took our heroes to get in shape and how powerful Rampage is even without factoring in his immortality I don't have any problem with idea that Rampage leveled a colony populated by only transformers.

The second was that someone on the show had said at convention that among the Maximals, Rattrap and Optimus had known each other the longest which doesn't seem right. Based on what we see I would say it would be Rattrap and Rhinox (or slightly less likely Rhinox and Optimus) since they already have an established friendship (Rhinox even says Rattrap is his best friend) and if it really was Optimus and Rattrap it would make Rattrap's jab from the first episode about being ready to command even more dickish.

Ohhh this was goooood. And yeah, Tarantulas was creepy enough, Rampage? Whole new level of insane.

And next week, the ep I've been waiting to see since he started reviewing Beast Wars.

I think Code of Hero is the episode we've ALL been looking forward to since Chuck started this. Including the guy who requested a whole string of episodes focused on Dinobot to properly set that one up.

It's not really a triangle when it was 100% only on Cheetor's end.

The stangest thing about Cheetor is, when I was a kid watching the show, as the brash hothead he was one of my favorites. Nowadays I just find him an insufferable idiot. Funny how that works.

Yeah, Code of Hero is pretty much the apex of the series. Powerful television, not just a great cartoon episode.
