This is a sad one. The man is sci-fi royalty for his work on Sliders. The first two seasons of that show were absolute gold and first introduced me to the legend that was John Rhys Davies. I'm honestly not sure I've seen a show quite like that again.

And of course TNG, where he wrote the better episodes of season 1 and 2, including The Big Goodbye, which is the only Trek episode to win a Peabody award.

Rip. Taken far too young. Diabetes is one of those diseases we're all at risk from with modern diets let's be honest.
