So, JK Rowling has gone insane, think this will cost her the HP TV series? I just imagine what the HBO higher-ups are thinking right now as this idiot keeps digging herself deeper by now accusing cisgender women of being trans. I just picture them going "You know, I'm starting to think this might now be worth the headaches she's causing. Why don't we just drop out of this deal and go and make a series that's created by someone who's not a nutcase?"
As I said before I still love Harry Potter and thankfully most of Rowling's stupidity isn't in the books and they're easy enough to ignore. But it's not fun to talk about right now, not with Rowling being such a self destructive moron who's acting more like the villains that she said represents everything she hates (seriously she might as well just rename herself to Dolores Umbridge at this point as she's almost as bad as her) so let's talk about something else, like say a novel series who's main character is a transwoman written by a transwoman and is pretty damn good.
I've talked about Dreadnought before, it's currently my favorite novel series with some clever writing, likeable characters and villains you just want to punch in the face (one of whom is a TERF and as Rowling is proving, is very accurate to how TERFs actually act).
But the series has been on hiatus for a while though the author, April Daniels, says she has every intention to continue to the series and I hope she does as I adore the first two books and want to see what comes next for Danny and her friends.
Personally there is one idea I want to see in a sequel for this series, a relationship that Danny has never had and one that would be great to see, a loving father/daughter relationship. She has her adoptive mother in Doc. Impossible but it's been obvious in all the books that Danny has long craved the love and support of a father, one who will except her for who she is. Having lost my own dad last year, I want to see a character I identify with find a father. I don't know maybe it will make me feel like my dad is there with me.
To that effect the character I would love to see become her father would be one who's been mentioned but not seen, Dark Fist aka this universes version of Batman.
The reason for this character is mostly down to the ongoing joke that Batman tends to adopt a LOT of kids (I think he has like 8 children right now) and I think it would be funny if the Batman Expy of this world ended up being a surrogate father to the Super"man" Expy of this universe.
Personally I would like him to be someone who had a transboy as a son but he didn't fully support him and when he died he was consumed with guilt so him connecting with Danny and embracing her for who she is would be his redemption. This would make him the opposite of Graywytch (the aforementioned TERF) who hated Danny for the crime of existing whereas Dark Fist didn't understand his own son but is working to better himself and be an ally to Danny and even becoming something of a father to her.
On a somewhat unrelated note it's hinted that Doc. Impossible has a low opinion of DF but I think it would be hilarious if it was one of those frienemies situations where they don't hate each other they just love taking jabs at one another. It would honestly be funny to see Danny basically go "Why are my parents this weird."
Thoughts and please feel free to talk about other stories with transgener leads regardless if they're transmen, transwomen, non-binary and gender-fluid, lord knows I think we could all use a palate cleanser after Rowling falling down her own rabbit hole (feel sorry for the residents of Wonderland).

If they adapt the books to the TV show, I think they should make the evil Druidess an author of successful children's books just like the main villain should be a Musk parody (and probably already is).
