Acolyte fix it.
If you had a chance to retell the story of the Acolyte how would you do that? How would you improve the story.

Does anyone remember a time, when we discussed about fixing two or three episodes in a 25-episodes season, rather than every single new series in it's entirety?

See I think you could do a lot to fix Acolyte in the edit. Not everything but enough. Cut like 2-3 episodes entirely so the whole experience is a lot tighter, and then take the two flashback episodes and break them up to weave the needed scenes in as appropriate similar to how Lost did it. Ideally you would do some reshoots so those scenes can be setup thematically, and do some new connective tissue like that really dumb bit where the creature character sabotages Sol's ship out of nowhere.
Sure you're not topping say s1 of Mandolorian but I think that'd get you something that'd be better than most of the other SW/Marvel telly stuff that they've put out.

First episode especially seems weirdly edited. So much of it is trying to misdirect the audience that OSHA might actually be the killer and maybe not even aware of it but we already saw Mae and they did too good a job making her seem like a different character. Move the fight scene from the beginning to a flashback at the end and it makes a lot more sense; I suspect this was actually the intent and it was a last-minute change because some corpo wanted to open with an action scene.

I kinda think we should have save OSHA to the next episode, let us find out more about Mae.

Osha rejects Qimir, forgives Sol, and becomes a Jedi.

I don't think we should go that far, I think it might be interesting seeing what the heck life for a force user that is neither Jedi or sith might be like.

I suppose I like an idealistic story.
I would also have Sol submit to Jedi judgement, be expelled from the Jedi Order, and become a ROGUE FORCE USER OUT TO HUNT DOWN THE SITH!

That could be fun, heck maybe show that any force user that doesn't actively practice the Jedi ways is considered a sith in his eyes.

Hmmm maybe during DS9's time? I know serious discussions on Voyager's premise started about around Season 2, maybe Season 3.Madner Kami wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 7:37 am Does anyone remember a time, when we discussed about fixing two or three episodes in a 25-episodes season, rather than every single new series in it's entirety?
No one really discussed Babylon 5 like that under after Season 4 aired at least.
NuBSG was fine until sometime in Season 3 and then especially Season 4.
Wasnt involved that much with Stargate discussions.
I got nothing to say here.
