Walmart has a highly successful business. How much of a profit margin does Trump have for a typical Walmart anyway? Even certain items are no cheaper than if you were to go to like a large supermarket chain like let's say Shop-Rite. It's not like they are marking down alot of their items below other major chains. You put a tariff on an item, that cuts in narrow profits. They have to raise the prices.

Walmart is successful due to keeping prices down as low as they can while still having a profit to begin with. They are not going to eat the profit. That makes zero business sense.

That line about charging 'valued customers anything' might sound like it should all be free to his followers.
