Student loan forgiveness, for reals this time

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. If you consider the collapse of the global economy and the complete erasure of the value of the American dollar "relatively little consequence", sure.

The U.S. isn't such an obvious investment opportunity as it once was. It fact, it's become downright risky.

Ah, but that's the trick the global economy only collapses if the the world stops pretending that the US dollar is valuable and the finance people know that. And it wouldn't just be a regular recession or even a regular depression, it would be the permeant destruction of the world financial system, which means that everyone has the incentive to pretend that the US dollar is still worth money.

That's a recipe for a sudden, catastrophic collapse.

Unless you are suggesting college and university should be taxpayer funded.
I'm trying to figure out why anyone wouldn't think a highly educated populace wouldn't be worth the government's subsidiary.

More a business matter. Most people choose to either go to school or work as far as determining their career. Mostly a consideration of time after one graduates high school.

I just doubt people are discouraged of the idea about an educated populace.

Educated people tend to also be left-leaning. Guess who REALLY wants to dismantle/gatekeep education in the US, basic AND higher?

Reagan admitted he saw a college-educated population as a threat. That's why he created the student loan crisis as we know it.
