Wait till the end of summer. It's prime vacation time.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2019 2:18 amHonestly, maybe we should just put together a subreddit? Just in case this place DOES collapse?BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 6:40 pm I actually don't see Facebook or Twitter as a reasonable replacement for forums for internet nerds that barge on forums over the years.
Facebook is interest groups and has a horrible notification system for conversation with strangers and is just not built for a variety of topics within each page since main topic posts are in and out of your timeline, and it's not necessarily easy to get back to a post. Twitter is for shout outs in which elaboration is a special circumstance.
I think most forum goers have gone to Reddit or 4chan as they have forums for most any topic and can draw volumes of people that amounts to resourceful information posits which is a standard draw for most any forum. Facebook and Twitter aren't so much to learn things and ask questions unless you have an uber amount of followers. Otherwise media sites like Tumblr, IG, or Youtube mainly just serve as an entertainment portals that have a reasonable chat interface to waste time on, so maybe those sites took up a chunk as well.

Like, oh man, it'd be nice to get a counter-strike game going, but it's friday night and everybody's out partying.
Not a chance.
