I wonder if The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen would count. Personally, I like the movie but I do know it was Connery's last film so you could say 'he did not go on to anything of note.'
If a movie is the only one in its franchise then it is simultaneously the best and worst in the franchise. Like when you have one kid, they're both your favorite and least favorite child.

Hm. Good question. I guess I'd have to say yes and no. The movie would be the only member of the film franchise, so it wouldn't be much of a film franchise. But it would be a member of a larger franchise, and I suppose then it would be the "worst" film.
