It is a shame we apparently can't even put aside our differences for a single second and come together with what we have in common: Star Trek.
Anyway, this episode was one of the better MU episodes. Rather than evil=stupid it showed just a ruthless empire. It is a shame that Enterprise made all non-Terrans slaves though, it really makes little sense that Spock was so highly ranked in Mirror Mirror. Perhaps it was that Amanda was well off in the MU and despite her son's half-Vulcan heritage he was well regarded? That opposed to his Prime counterpart who was constantly harassed for being part human, the MU Spock was raised on Earth and got more ruthless due to his harassment for being part alien? Seems like a lost opportunity where Michael's unnecessary relation to him could be a real asset to the show from a story perspective.

Why does believeing in the Illuminate makes someone automatically a bigot?Worffan101 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 9:13 pmMeh, I'm tired of that Qanon conspiracy nonsense and I don't care who knows it. If people are going to proclaim their support for a crazy neo-Nazi conspiracy theory that claims that Hillary Clinton, the Illuminati, and "Jewish influence" in the government are colluding with reptilian aliens to run a satanic pedophilia cult out of a pizza restaurant, I think it's entirely reasonable for me to tell them that they're not just idiots, but bigoted idiots.Steve wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 4:27 pmWorffan101 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:37 pm I'm not making wild assumptions, buddy. You have that crazy Qanon hashtag advertised in your Twitter profile--a conspiracy theory deeply rooted in antisemitic ideology that's spread and supported mostly by Nazis.
Given that the only people who actually believe in Qanon (and therefore, the only people who would be nuts enough to put it in their twitter profile) are alt-right and actually mentally ill person Roseanne Barr, I think it's safe to assume based on your pro-Trump Twitter background and your promulgation of an antisemitic conspiracy theory that you're an alt-righter, and I don't give people like that pageviews.
Y'know, you could've just not mentioned that you didn't watch the video.
It does seem that you go out of your way to be hostile to people you decide are Alt-Right.
For reference:

Tl;dr: I don't think it's at all inappropriate to have someone who openly supports a crazy conspiracy theory on their Twitter page that they're supporting an insane conspiracy theory and therefore probably are way off-base.

Its not just Spock that this contradicts, its Phlox and T'Pol. Yeah, they were from subjugated races, but I got no impression that either of them were slaves. And if they were, then the Terran Empire was even MORE dumb than they already seemed given how Phlox was the only doctor on their ship and T'Pol clearly had a command position under Forest. These are the freest, most privileged slaves in history.Zoinksberg wrote: ↑Sat Sep 01, 2018 1:23 am It is a shame we apparently can't even put aside our differences for a single second and come together with what we have in common: Star Trek.

Spock wasn't a slave in the original series.
Vulcans had just reverted to being Romulan-like.

....that has to be the most ridiculous excuse I've ever seen. I don't care what you said or didn't say before. You might as well try to steal after hearing a cop lecture shoplifters he's caught and then protest, "I know you said not to shoplift, officer, but I wasn't shoplifting with them!"

Re: Star Trek (DIS): The Wolf Inside
This is apropos of nothing but does anyone else mistakenly see the title as "The Worf Inside"? Bad joke I know if it was meant to be a pun, but I legitimately thought I saw it as that.
Re: Star Trek (DIS): The Wolf Inside
I keep seeing it as "Wolf in the Fold".
Re: Star Trek (DIS): The Wolf Inside
So, just how stupid is Voq? He goes to the trouble of heavy surgery to pass for human. Even goes so far as to have his memories altered. The only reason I can think of for him to do this is to fool telepaths. Only telepaths I can think in the Federation at this point are Vulcans, who require physical contact, but I suppose there could be more.
Now, the only reason I can think of for him to do this is because his end goal is to steal Discovery. So why does he reveal himself while on a ship that is not Discovery, while in another dimension, surrounded by hostiles? This seems like the absolute worst possible time to be bragging about one's evil plans.
Has the stupid of the mirror universe just rubbed off on him? Or is this just typical KINO stupidity?
