'An "Army of 16-Year-Olds" Takes On the Democrats'

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. Note: It is the desire of the leadership of SFDebris Conglomerate that all posters maintain a civil and polite bearing in this forum, regardless of how you feel about any particular issue. And that is why Twitter is not real life.
Well they're the only ones that are paying attention to politics at that age. It seems pretty black and white at the time.
Viewing things in black and white isn't a young thing unfortunately.

And it is telling that you have yet to comment about anything on this forum about scifi but will go out of your way to bash anyone who remotely sounds like a Leftie. You bash and insult anyone who disagrees with you. If you were serious, you would know you look hypocritical.

Your behavior is exactly what a troll will do.
I actually commented on a thread a couple of days ago on modern cartoons. If you're going to stalk me, at least do it right and honestly. I've also discussed ideas with people - I just also mock the stupid ones and the typical Leftist tropes because someone needs to put you people in your place.
So you commented once about modern cartoons and that someday you will introduce Batman TAS to your niece. Good for you. You want a cookie? So one post out of nearly one hundred, where you actually discussed something non political on a science fiction review site's forum. Yeah OK.

If you are going to act like you are here to actually engage people here then act like it. But I doubt it, the past few days here have shown it.
Hey idiot, you're the one who stormed into a conversation and started bitching because for once there was a Conservative viewpoint on this site. You are the meme of the swarm of SJWs jumping into a conversation, shitting it up, then getting mad when you get called out on it.

There have been conservatives on this site and still are. Stop thinking you are some special snowflake. It's been pretty damned obvious you didn't come here to actually debate anyone. Just to rile everyone up.

I am not here to give you some ego trip which you seem to desperately want. I didn't storm into the conversation, you did.

Keep using insults. It's what I expect of you. You are no different then the others.

There are certain expectations of people as they grow up. If people do not mature in life, that doesn't call into question maturity itself.

A persecution complex of any sort isn't good (and is sadly something hard to avoid these days on the internet with how it bounces off of human nature; we're all suffering from this crap). If it's not befitting to see of the victim mentalities and cry bullies on the Left that piss you off, don't repeat it yourself.

I know what it's like to usually be the minority opinion on a site, but we should all do our best to go onto a messgeboard with the mindset of being you and not in one team that will be outnumbered by another antagonistic one.

With this said, I have seen variations of the exact same thing Reality posted said on other more Right leaning sites, only the terms switched.

I used to post on the navweaps forum a long time ago. That is a heavy conservative forum if you go to the political forum. Which is of course a bit odd since it does have a lot of non Americans on there too. So I get it.

But never have I gone into a forum like a wrecking ball acting like I know everything and everyone else doesn't. Looking for a 'challenge' because I know everything. I never acted like Reality did here.

And the thing is, I have seen that sort of behavior on other sites. Post for a few days, do their best to annoy people and and leave never to be seen again.

Like I said, this forum does have conservatives. And to be honest, I like that we do. It really does give a good insight into what 'the other side' is doing.

I still lurk. PoW got old a very long time ago. The problem there (at least in the past ten or so years) wasn't so much one side dominating but a mutual contempt both sides had that would go too far. Sadly I see it only get worse on other forums, like Stuart Slade's (who passed away last December).

I've seen the political crap it in other places, mostly gaming forums, but on ones like navweps it's mostly apolitical and some kid coming in arguing with Bill Juren's or one of the near academic level naval hobbyists thinking they know how Yamato could win against Iowa.

Ahh so you know. I do like the Battleship versus Battleship part of the whole forum. There are people there that really do know their stuff, some by experience in fact. One of my other hobbies aside from science fiction is collecting naval books. I can easily say that I will rival them, and even got some unique stuff over the years. But it does get a bit much when there are quite a few who favor too much of a British side or too much of a American side when it comes to ship design. Especially when you talk about Iowas and anything that could rival the class.

The Iowa class just like all classes isn't perfect. So yes, in certain areas the Iowas are inferior to other ships. That goes without saying.

PoW though is certainly interesting once you view it from a outsider's view. Heavy on the American conservative side with a bad outlook on anything outside that viewpoint. Whether it is American liberalism or other country's own political system. And like I said there is alot of people from other countries posting on there. Some of them obviously using some sort of translator (pretty good one though).

Reality, is no different from the guys who post in PoW.

POW? Prisoners of War? Sorry, I don't know all your weird internet forums, I have a life. But, just in case it does stand for that, yes, I've seen the world beyond that of a spoiled American yuppie playing at being a Socialist liberator.

Politics of War, navweps political subforum.

I think it's safe to see how eager you are to grab anything with which to goad people in this post that you're nothing but a troll.

That's the nature of anything subjectively dealing with the military. Play any game and you'll run into the bias as well. Russian designers making anything Russian the best being the most notable example; one of the few exceptions seems to be the Wehrmacht obsessed in the West that make WWII German equipment the best.

The majority of the conservatives who post in POW are vets and life long servicemen. As Slade once said to one of the more infamous posters there, there is a reason why military personal make terrible diplomats and his "everything is a nail needing hammered" mentality was one example of it.

I disagree with the fire eating attitude (and the overall American love political name calling that is alien to Canadians; many don't like Trudeau but I've never seen a nickname thrown at him, we just laugh at how he hangs himself with his own words all the time), but I can appreciate some of their points, they just aren't able to articulate them well.

Too many as well are caught up in the American political game of squabbling. They throw stuff out and then when you break it down to provide nuance they snap out of the mud slinging and recognize your point. I ran into that when someone posted an article about how Leftists supposedly have higher rates of mental illness. I criticized the latent assumption behind the OP thinking mental illness = insanity, so his political opponents are crazy. I pointed out that there's more to the field than psychosis, how I and other posters battle depression, if that effects their opinion of us and if they really want to go down the road to dragging mental health into political leanings given their own disgust of the Soviet Union doing that very thing against dissidents. After that they seemed to calm the rancor and admitted they jumped the gun.

I used to post there in its various incarnations. I remember when navweaps was part of warship1 in the late 90's.

It was interesting at that time because you could be talking to a person who literally served on battleships or cruisers. Unfortunately WW2 generation is slowly dying out with pretty much all of them in their 90's or older.

I didn't really engage in PoW due to just pure animosity that goes on there. Though I heard they are starting to curb it now since it got out of hand in the past couple of years.
I got nothing to say here.
