Also Star Trek Day is happening in STO as well. Don't expect OP ships or crazy amounts of Dilithium. This is just the opportunity to be a Star Trek fan and visit the " Starfleet Museum of heroes" over Earth Space Dock and DS9 and say hi to your favorite captains and get a cool title for it.

I admit I had the exact same reaction to my character. For all the faults that Star Trek Online's story has, the KDF player is someone I feel has a fairly natural progression from bloodthirsty berserker out to kill a bunch of Federation soldiers (like when he massacres the ones trying to capture Frank Drake). However, by the end of the Iconian War, my Klingon is fully an ally of the Federation and thinks of Ju'la as a retrograde embarrassment.

"T'kuvma was a lunatic who thought he was Khaless Reborn. I've met Khaless and helped him kill the Devil. No, I don't think the Founders created the Fekhiri. They're real, dammit."

Well 11th Anniverersary is here. Star Trek Online reached 11 years in service and is in way better shape than SWtOR with a fresh new expansion and a new playable "faction" of ST:Discovery Klingons - who not only get Recruit event bonuses to help them reach max level faster - but also get a free T6 ship. And there is yet another endgame T6 ship you can get for playing the anniversary. Änd it's again a beauty to behold. STO really gets the iconic Star Trek look! Last year was Klingon/Federation hybrid and this year is Romulan/Klingon hybrid. Looking forward to Federation/Dominion hybrid next year. Or Fed/Romulan. Both are good.

See you on the front lines of Klingon civil war Qapla'!

Also for all Ambassador class fans - your ship got a fresh coat of paint and 3D modeling goodness so it's prettier than ever:

With Chuck's restoration of DS9 episodes I've re-watched the ending episode arc and as always it brings me back to STO and it's Dominion arc which is a loose follow up of the DS9 story. It's a bitter-sweet feeling knowing that this game is the last time we'll get René Auberjonois and Aron Eisenberg reprising their roles and it honestly saddens me to know that a sizeable part of DS9 fans won't ever get to see this story - especially because it is a very well crafted one and ties up quite a few loopholes and loose ends that DS9 left in it's wake - simply because it's in a video game and a video-game with a reputation of being a Star Trek theme park - more than for it's quality storytelling.

Anyway - there is an upcoming summer festival with a T6 Risian Luxury Cruiser just waiting for your toons to claim it and seat themselves in the comfy Captain's chair. Have a fun summer on Risa folks!

So - I feel like I'm needlessly spamming a topic that nobody reads but I also love this game too much to not want to share interesting news about it - so one last time: There is a new Season coming in STO after the end of Klingon Civil War. And it's all about the Mirror Universe - we finally get to visit (and probably meet our evil versions if I'm getting the trailer right)

Also Mirror Leeta's back.
And a free new event ship - a cool Mirror Universe Warship:

Finally if you log in the game before the 28th - you can pick up a free set of goodies including some Mirror Universe phasers, gear and mosty importantly - uniforms. Short skirts and cut-off tops are waiting on you to go get them :D
And remember - it's not gay if it happened in the Mirror Universe!

I wouldn't say nobody reads.

That said I am not sure about the mirror you actually being met based on the video shown. Also noted that while they showed a proper Odyssey uniform all the ships show were Disco era?

Fair enough - might be people read it - but if they're not speaking up it's hard for me to tell. I'm sharing this stuff because I love STO but also because I'm curious about other's opinions and experiences with the new episodes ;)

In any case - played the newest story mission - once again top notch writing. Cryptic is really spoiling us with STO. The whole episode is honestly carried by Chase Masterson who pretty conclusively proves that she was utterly wasted on DS9 as the "fanservice girl Leeta." Her Mirror Admiral version is just delicious and the voice acting really makes Mirror Leeta feel like a real character with layers - not just another "I have beard and am evil because I can" Mirror Universe bad-guy. I'm pretty sure she was scheming the whole time and I was working for her more often than not. Big congratz to Chase Masterson and I'm always ready for more of her characters.

Also the end reveal was... pretty damn awesome. Just short enough to be impactful and foreboding! Won't spoil it - but personal advice - first time you play the new mission - bring your Federation toon. It'll be worth it!

Fed fed or would an AoY fed count?
And does it do something different if you use a Rom or KDF agent? Because if it does that would be awesome. Too often the other two factions are lumped into the Federation in story and dialogue.

Honestly - only played it as a TOS-Era Fed at the moment so I have no idea. I expect DSC Fed will also work pretty well. Basically - Fed/Fed-aligned character will probably work best. Not saying the other factions won't work - but Fed characters from any era I can guarantee will make it more fun!
