Yup, Putin has lost his mind completely. I guess this is what happens when you rely on paranoia and brute force to hold an entire nation hostage.

He's always been a thoroughly nasty piece of work but has never been an idiot, wondering what's made him go over the edge? He seems to have a chip on his shoulder about Ukraine (due it it spurning Russia?), and having surrounded himself with sycophantic yes-men I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's come to believe his own rhetoric, and that he's always in full control of everything and nothing he does will ever be significantly opposed. More than one past dictator has ended up a victim of their hubris.

This could be the begining of the end for Putin, the fear is that he'll take everyone else out with him.

The Russians have captured Chernobyl with fighting around the nuclear plant.

I want to make a joke about how this was the reason behind the entire invasion but I can't think of one.

Russia sends their soldiers into the field to wage a war that they are not even aware of. This is footage of two captured russian soldiers, a captain and a private, who tell the harrowing story that they were commanded to take part in a training exercise on the Crimean Peninsula, during which they were literally collected "off the field" and dropped into Ukraine, with the explicit order to "continue their training exercise" and without even being aware of being on Ukrainian territory. This is currently unconfirmed and may well be a cover story in order to get treated better, but apparently other captured soldiers tell a similar story. The video is in russian, which I myself barely speak and there're no captions available, so I am relying on information being relayed to me, so please take it with a few grains of salt and if you can, correct my information.

If true, this is an entire new level of devious and evil. It's hard to imagine that all the troops are left in the dark like this, but it wouldn't be surprising if a good part of the conscripts are entirely left in the dark on their purpose

Meanwhile in Moscow and St.Petersburg, increasingly larger crowds have gathered and are protesting against the war.

I would suggest moving to Brazil or something.
I think with that it depends on several things such as age, how long ago you were discharged, and depends if a disability is involved otherwise they would have tried to reactivate my sixy-year-old disabled mother.
Been out for almost 12 years. I am 38 though with a set of skills the Navy or the Air Force would still love to have.

And I can fire a gun without hurting myself so there is that.
I got nothing to say here.

You would think so. I have been observing that those who hate Biden, have been using this as an example that Trump would have not allowed Putin to invade Ukraine. Or it's all Bidens fault for not compromising to Russia.

I just don't see how anyone cannot see that Putin was out to attack Ukraine. Russia's own state owned news are going about how this is some sort of freeing of the poor Ukrainians.
I got nothing to say here.
