Lower Decks - Second Contact

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Why didn’t Boimler say, “You mean like drunk on duty, reckless endangerment of a fellow crewman, assault, and nearly manslaughter?” Boimler doesn’t know her from Adam, his impression of her is the audience’s.
This is incorrect about the intro.

She is not on duty.

True, it would be drunk in uniform.

...TNG wasn't all that great in the first two seasons. Stargate SG-1 took quite a while to get going. In fact, practically every SF program takes a certain time to get its legs - Farscape and Firefly are the only two I can think of that were pretty good right out of the gate.

It's one of the big problems with the increasingly-popular super-short seasons: each episode has to be totally excellent or it's a major wasted opportunity.

It's wrong to ship but I admit I ship Boimler and Vulcan Girl.

They haven't even met and I ship them.

I will give you everything but Stargate SG-1. Certainly not as good as the later seasons, especially when they got away from Apophis (that actor really sucked). But it really wasn't that bad overall.

TNG season 1 has to be the worse first season for any Sci-fi series longer than a few seasons.
I got nothing to say here.

I'm just really hoping she's part of the ensemble next season.

You used the just a few seasons qualifier to avoid comparing to Enterprise didn't you? ;)

I admit that is exactly the sort of lame attempt at overthinking a badass line she would come up with.

Nah. Forgot about it. Enterprise season 1 to me wasn't that bad. Not good. Probably below average. Sure in Trek it probably would rank low in first seasons. Maybe bottom three.
