Eh, I like Chuck's serious reviews, but I LOVE his reviews of absolute horseshit. That being the case, we should totally nominate the Lost in Space remake. That show was so bad it hurt.
If we're doing something a little more serious, Love, Death, and Robots would be fascinating to hear his take on. Lovely little miniseries.

I'd like to see him review Lexx. That show was just batshit instane and had a low budget, but still managed to pull off some good episodes.
The past tempts us, the present confuses us, the future frightens us. And our lives slip away moment by moment lost in that vast, terrible in-between.

12 Monkeys is a film I feel Chuck would love to take a look at.

I think I've said it before but Primer would be fascinating to have Chuck go over. Super low budget film written, directed, starring, etc. just one creative... about a pair of guys that invent timetravel... but its thoughtful timetravel that has real limits and basis in physics (They can't go back further than when the device was first turned on, and they have to spend real time going backwards) and requires you pay attention to the whole thing.

Really? I thought the Lost in Space remake on Netflix was rather good, personally.

Bumping this thread because I had a thought:
It tends more towards science fantasy like Star Wars, but...maybe sometime in the future if he gets the whim, he could start tackling some Steven Universe?
If he stuck with it could be interesting to see his thoughts on the epilogue season and Steven's...issues.

I'd be interested to see Chuck reviewing a suggested plot cut of the show, but I like him too much to want to see him subjected to the seemingly unending supply of townie episodes. No one needs Ronaldo in their life if it can be avoided.
I was reviewing/recapping the show on another forum years back, and those broke me about as hard as that sodding interminable mermaid island arc post the time skip did when I was doing One Piece.

I mean, the guy has dealt with Neelix the past few decades, can we really say Ronaldo is any worse?stryke wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 7:06 pm I'd be interested to see Chuck reviewing a suggested plot cut of the show, but I like him too much to want to see him subjected to the seemingly unending supply of townie episodes.
