Interested to see if Trump's lead gets wider after this. It was an absolute circus and the only competent clown stayed home.

Donald Trump has faced an estimated 4,000 legal cases throughout his professional career. And people laugh when Lex Luthor got elected president. ''How unrealistic!'' people cried.

Imagine telling someone 20 years ago who the 2024 presidential race would be between. They would accuse you of being an absolute nut. I've never known politics like this. I know that's a well worn phrase but what else can I say?

Was anyone else suprised to learn that there is actually no law against someone running for president from their jail cell? I guess the founding fathers didn't think that was a likely outcome.

Anyway, it'll be Trump V Biden. We all know it. We just don't like it.

Funnily enough, many US-states void your voting rights, if you are a convicted felon. US-things, I guess... vOv

I actually like it. Trumps' last election-stint near bankrupted many republican chapters all over the country, because that twat is a notorious grifter and money just vanished all around him in mysterious ways. And it gets worse this time around, because the Republicans have lost a lot of donors and his trials aren't going to be cheap either, so you know he's going to syphon even more money off the Republicans and their voter-base, than he did last time around.
The Reps are on their way out and they get fucked right where it hurts them the most. Now all you dear Americans need to do is, to vote. No matter the weather. No matter the time of the day. No matter your hunger, but make sure you bring enough to drink. And don't give me all that "But Biden isn't the perfect candidate!!!111". Yeah well, guess what. Nothing in this world is perfect. And perfect is the enemy of "good enough" anyways and given the vote you face, Biden is the best you can get by a long shot, so take it or you'll go fuck yourselves, literally.

Gotta agree. He's done a few things that I like but on the whole Biden was never my first, second, third, or even tenth choice. I'm not thrilled at the prospect of sucking it up and voting for him a second time, even if that's what I gotta do.

Dear Dionysus, Holy Hecate, Sweet Ostara and Spirit of the Night Wind, I hope you're right. If there's anything that this political climate has taught me its that it's never safe to unclench.

Me too, buddy. I don't know what scares me more, 45 Part 2 or Ron "run the country like Florida" Desantis.

On the whole, a party needs to be pretty iredeemably evil to make Chris Christie seem like the reasonable man in the room.

Trump didn't get more popular since the last election, rather the opposite. That was how far the Republicans are able to push and leverage his appeal and he still lost. The issue you should worry about is, voting motivation on the Democrat side of things.

It has long been the opinion of many that the only reason Trump won in 2016 was Hillary Clinton. And I think that's the problem now. Biden's frailty is an electoral liability and pretty much everyone has now had a chance to see the Youtube videos of him falling over and such. Say what you like about Trump, but despite being only 3 years younger than Biden he sure doesn't seem it. Can the latter actually survive another four years? Is a vote for Biden actually a vote for Harris? I would be leaning on that angle every chance I got if I was the Republican candidate right now.

Trump is probably the best person the GOP could run as far as the Democrats are concerned. He brings out so many people to vote against him wether they support the actual candidate they voted for or not.

That's the next thing in the mess that is US-politics. Trump ist unironically the least worst candiate the Republicans have to offer. Pretty much everybody else is even more racist, bigotted and ultra-conservative, especially in terms of religion.
And on the same flip-side, he's also the one who riles up and motivates progressive and moderate voters on the Democrat side of things the most. Gawd your country is so fundamentally broken... Things here are bad enough with the AfD, but at least we generally don't have to decide between a turd-sandwich and a giant douche.
