In the past we may have had to worry about Russia but they have been weakened and are probably (almost certainly) going to be pro-Trump. Putin is not going to mess with his ticket to Kiev.
And btw, off topic, but I have to declare something to the crowd at large: I am sincerely sorry for anything positive that I said over in that Israel thread. They are being run by psychopaths whose goal is extermination of those around it - they are already resettling the flattened areas. I did not realise to what extent at the time. And it is only going to get worse now.

Only if they succeeded. Though I do wonder how the Far Right and MAGA would react. Would they believe it was the Iranians or blame it on the Left? Would they call for a mass bombing in retaliation anyway?
Somehow I suspect Iranian assassins can yiffing aim their guns, which is more than I can say for the chucklefucks in the USA. What's the point of owning a dozen guns if you can't actually hit anything with them? We didn't even place at the olympics!

Agreed if they (the Iranians) really had tried to do it does anyone really think they would be stupid enough to confirm it on the news or whatever other media outlets?

Iran denies everything. The US government charged three people- one believed to be in Iran, the other two held in New York with their trial pending- with being part of an Iranian plot to kill Trump. There were other alleged targets including a journalist critical of the Iranian regime and two Jewish businessmen, and supposedly plans for a mass shooting in Sri Lanka.

I do wonder how that investigation would work. Would Trump allow it to happen? How would that information come about? If true how would the Democrats and Republicans act? So much for a peaceful transfer.
