I've never been all that fussed about brown sauce to be honest. Don't mind it but I never buy it.

Good point, I wasn't thinking of hot sauces at all. I give no apology to Buffalo sauce but do beg Tobasco and Scorpion peppers for their forgiveness.

Hot sauces are not just an American thing though we do love them. Buffalo sauce though is purely American. Named after the city Buffalo, not thd animal and no Buffalos do not have wings. Just a FYI for our friends outside the states.

Frank's red hot generally works well specifically for chicken wings where you take each wing one at a time. I would never use it for ribs or even just regular chicken. Adding butter though carries the spice much more smoothly.
