I still think what he really wants is death camps for the autistic people he sees as a burden on society. Remember "lives unworthy of living"? Remember that people with mental disabilities were also put down like rabid dogs and cremated to make room for more corpses.

I mean, yes, I believe it.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 2:23 pm I still think what he really wants is death camps for the autistic people he sees as a burden on society. Sterilization first I'm sure.
The thing about RKFJunior is he thinks we're all nonverbal autistic types but the thing about THEM is that we've come a long way every way. Many of them turn out to be incredibly verbose once they get the option of the internet.
But RKFJunior has a very...let's say...eugenic idea of the human body.
Re: RFK Jr wants medical records for his autism study
I know it's early but I doubt that will happen. Eugenics and psuedoscience being used? Definitely. Death camps or sterilization? Not going to happen. Remember even the MAGA side has their own autistic people, ones they love, ones they cherish. Ones they feel God sent to them.
I don't see it. Concentration camps for the illegals? Sure. Gas chambers for the autistic? Nah. That would be an issue that even the MAGA would actually protest against.

I'm sure someone said the same thing in Germany in 1938.McAvoy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 4:53 am I know it's early but I doubt that will happen. Eugenics and psuedoscience being used? Definitely. Re: RFK Jr wants medical records for his autism study
Hitler was made chancellor on January 30th, 1933.
One of the very first concentration camps in Germany opened on March 22nd, 1933. At first it only housed political enemies and it's scope was steadily expanded, consisting of a 100 subcamps by the end of the war (mostly labour camps, not extermination camps, but still about 42,000 of the over 180,000 inmates the complex housed until April 29th, 1945 died).
The first systematic forced sterlizations of "Lebensunwertes Leben" (literally: Existences unworthy of life) began on January 1st, 1934. The primary target were people with severe genetic disabilities and alcoholics. The scope widened until in 1939 the Nutzis began killing people who had various diseases or ailments deemed to be "unworthy of living", which resulted in their permanent hospitalization. More than 200.000 people of that category were killed in the hospitals, including over 5,000 babies and children with various disabilities. These killings continued well into 1945.
Make no mistake. It begins slowly, with actions you can look away from or rationalize. It's a slippery slope and Trump and the people doing it for him, have repeatedly shown: He loves to take a ride on the slide. Rejoice if they don't, but be prepared for them to do. You don't want to be the one who, once all this is over, has to pretend to the next generation: "I did not know." Because you knew. And everyone will know, you knew. You just choose to look away, choose to not know, choose to pretend that you couldn't see it coming. But you did.

Make no mistake. I understand what happened in Germany leading up and during Hitler's time in Germany. Believe me I know.
I just doubt it would ever come down to that. It would run counter to established beliefs that even the MAGA has which is all life is precious. Specifically theirs. As in you keep your pregnancy until term even if that baby will come out with disabilities. Those children along with those on the deeper side of Autism is their children.
To suggest that they will be willing to give up those children in some sort of Nazi-esque eugenic program is giving even the MAGA too little. That will be without a doubt IMO, something that will be a step too far.
It just would involve alot to cover it up and the only way I can see that happening is if there was a total cover up through propaganda and control over the news. Something you could do in the 1930's but not in the 2020's with the amount of internet access and social media.

I completely disagree. MAGA types think their children are nothing but their property and will happily abuse them, murder them, or abandon them if they don't fit the mold the parents want them to. And that's without the state and Dear Leader telling them it would be a heroic and patriotic thing to do.

MAGAs are the kind of people, who'll force a rape-victim to carry out her child and punish the mother for not wanting to. MAGAs are the kind of people who'll talk about the sanctity of this new life, only to leave the mother and the child without any support once it was born. MAGAs are the kind of people that will defend everyone having easy access to guns and not flinch an eye when another school shooting kills those oh so important lives. You're rationalizing and MAGA are those people who do say A and then turn around and do Anti-A on a daily basis. All they need is someone who tells them why it is right to do the opposite of what you believed yesterday.McAvoy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 1:43 amI just doubt it would ever come down to that. It doesn't involve a lot to cover it up. There is no need to cover it up. There's just a need of proper framing. Just look at the deportations into off-shore labour camps happening all over the place right now.McAvoy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 1:43 amIt just would involve alot to cover it up and the only way I can see that happening is if there was a total cover up through propaganda and control over the news. I think some people are taking things a bit too much to extremese here. There's rather too much "they look a bit like something else bad so they're probably just as bad in every way, given the chance." That's not particularly logical thinking, it's splitting things up in to categories and pigeonholing them then making opinions based on nothing more than what pigeonhole they've ended up in.
There's a possibility of such things - it's not zero, but I agree with McAvoy, I really doubt it's a high one. Just because someone's an idiotic arsehole doesn't mean all idiotic arseholes are the same, and as bad as can be.

Agree to disagree. All of the signs are there. Deportations of innocent men (and he has said outright that he wants to do so to American citizens), the suspension of due process, imperial sabre rattling, a judge who got arrested, the dismantling of the offices of State, trying to isolate you from your allies, trying to create a Party of One as opposed of many, the glorification of dictators over free leaders, trying to Other minorities, metaphorical book burning, violent loyalists who will storm a government building at his beckoned call being given immunity.Riedquat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 9:41 am I think some people are taking things a bit too much to extremese here. ALL of these things have happened in the US in the last three months. I can give you proof for all of them.
Whether he can or not is a completely different question from whether he wants to try. The latter is what I believe.
This is very much a ''just what were YOU doing during the Civil Rights movement/1930s Germany/slavery etc.'' moment. And i'm sorry to say this, but as long as there are those in your country who continue to stick your heads into the sand hoping that what is staring you in the face isn't actually what is staring you in the face, it is going to get much worse.
