Sad news of course. This will unfortunately boost those who were saying that this man should have stepped down by the time of the Primary. Halfway into his first year as president and forced to step down would not have done much for the popularity of the Dems. I am sure MAGA will use it as a weapon against Democrats. Even though Biden was diagnosed now and not during his own presidency. I am sure MAGA will come up with a conspiracy theory that this was also withheld from the public and was known.

The imagine if Trump got some life threatening ailment and how much they woukd come to defend him. Saying Democrats are in glee over Trump having cancer, heart problems or whatever.

Also I expect Trump to say something that is pretty much non-diplomatic is all kinds of ways. Because that is what he does. He won't hesitate to do that.

My friend's father died from this, and it's a very horrible way to go. Here's hoping they can mitigate it.

This, and the reaction, made me realize how lucky we are the 24/7 televised news cycle (with a camera at every possible angle) and social media didn't exist in the 30's and 40's. Imagine if FDR was subjected to half of the B.S. Biden has been.
