We have a rare treat ladies and gentlemen. We are witnessing in real time feminists turning on a law they created because it has the audacity to protect both genders not just one in particular.
"with its focus on the potential damage to Professor Ronell’s reputation and the force of her personality, as echoing past defenses of powerful men."
Using the same arguments they would have fought against in the past.
Professor Ronell, 66, denied any harassment. “Our communications — which Reitman now claims constituted sexual harassment — were between two adults"
Complaining that the other partner changed their mind at a later date.
"Professor Ronell and some who are backing her have tried to discredit her accuser in familiar ways, asking why he took so long to report, and why he seemed so intimate with Professor Ronell if he was, in fact, miserable. "
More hypocrisy
"Mr. Reitman was using Title IX, a feminist tool, to take down a feminist"
For Women Only
It's not addressed in the article, but don't forget that the female advisor was in a position of power over the male student but Feminist ideology discounts this possibility entirely.
Let's see what happens to Title IX. This happened to affirmative action when it started helping boys go to college. This briefly happened to alimony when a model husband divorced his wealthy wife. Feminist can't seem to stand men and boys benefiting from any system even if it's to fix an inequality Feminists caused using the same law Feminists created.

Except....the professor has been suspended. The school has found her responsible for actions which are, at minimum, deeply unprofessional, and have responded accordingly.
So why exactly are you outraged? Because someone wrote a letter?

But you don't understand, this means the Feminazis lose because who gives a shit about the facts, a woman did a bad thing therefore all women are Satan except the ones who say the correct alt-right things. In all seriousness, I fail to see what the big deal here is.

“I am of course very supportive of what Title IX and the #MeToo movement are trying to do, of their efforts to confront and to prevent abuses, for which they also seek some sort of justice,” Professor Davis wrote in an email. “But it’s for that very reason that it’s so disappointing when this incredible energy for justice is twisted and turned against itself, which is what many of us believe is happening in this case.”Worffan101 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 9:21 pmBut you don't understand, this means the Feminazis lose because who gives a shit about the facts, a woman did a bad thing therefore all women are Satan except the ones who say the correct alt-right things. No, I'm upset because a bunch of Feminists wrote a letter condemning the punishment or that woman for no other reason than the accused is a feminist or they know her personally.LittleRaven wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 6:53 pm Except....the professor has been suspended. A person in a position of authority was abusing that authority in a way that made a subordinate deeply uncomfortable. The person in authority has been removed from their position as a result of this situation becoming known. Isn't that exactly what #MeToo is supposed to be about?
Nobody who knows anything about humans thinks that women are all angels or anything. They're just regular people, and are prone to all of the same fault that people are, including a certain amount of hypocrisy. But I'm not really seeing what about this situation should inspire outrage. Someone did a bad thing, got caught, paid the price. The system appears to working as intended.

Jesus man. If you get upset every time someone does something stupid or hypocritical you won't see 50.Antiboyscout wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 11:57 pmNo, I'm upset because a bunch of Feminists wrote a letter condemning the punishment or that woman for no other reason than the accused is a feminist or they know her personally.
People do dumb stuff all the time. Save the outrage for when something bad actually happens.

I'm mostly just waiting for the "rethinking Title IX" followup articles like what happened with alimony.LittleRaven wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:02 amJesus man. Some 60something fuddy-duddy is a hypocrite. Big fucking deal. 60something old rich people set in their ways reflexively defend their own, often hypocritically. This happens all the time, the only unusual part about people like Spacey and Weinstein is that it DIDN'T (at least for the most part).Antiboyscout wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 11:54 pm“I am of course very supportive of what Title IX and the #MeToo movement are trying to do, of their efforts to confront and to prevent abuses, for which they also seek some sort of justice,” Professor Davis wrote in an email. I bet people in their 60s are way more flexible than the current vanguard of progressivism.Worffan101 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:35 amSome 60something fuddy-duddy is a hypocrite.
