NY Times: What Happens to #MeToo When a Feminist Is the Accused?

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. Note: It is the desire of the leadership of SFDebris Conglomerate that all posters maintain a civil and polite bearing in this forum, regardless of how you feel about any particular issue. Violators will be turned over to Captain Janeway for experimentation.

So why exactly are you outraged? Because someone wrote a letter?
But you don't understand, this means the Feminazis lose because who gives a shit about the facts, a woman did a bad thing therefore all women are Satan except the ones who say the correct alt-right things. QED.

In all seriousness, I fail to see what the big deal here is.
“I am of course very supportive of what Title IX and the #MeToo movement are trying to do, of their efforts to confront and to prevent abuses, for which they also seek some sort of justice,” Professor Davis wrote in an email. “But it’s for that very reason that it’s so disappointing when this incredible energy for justice is twisted and turned against itself, which is what many of us believe is happening in this case.”

“I would say that the vast majority of Title IX cases are protecting male victims from male perpetrators, or female victims from male perpetrators,”

"Mr. Reitman was using Title IX, a feminist tool, to take down a feminist"

can you see the problem?
Some 60something fuddy-duddy is a hypocrite. Big fucking deal. 60something old rich people set in their ways reflexively defend their own, often hypocritically. This happens all the time, the only unusual part about people like Spacey and Weinstein is that it DIDN'T (at least for the most part).
I bet people in their 60s are way more flexible than the current vanguard of progressivism.
I guess you're not particularly attached to your money, then.

This shows that we should take feminist outrage with a grain of salt. But I think most people nowadays would see this like a reminder that water is wet.

Thanks for letting me know I should never rely on your instinct. And for letting me know that you're an alt-right goon.

I wish it was just instinct and not based on facts.

i don't self identify as alt right, i have no idea what the fuck that even means.

Based on what i said i am a goon? You must be new to the digital thug life. That's not even a prison shove between 2 posters what i said.

Well it's getting abused like the word terrorist during the early Bush years.
