So much for the tolerant left!111!!
Re: So much for the tolerant left!111!!
The alt-right is a term applied to others so readily it is essentially meaningless. Where is the right? The alt-right? There's liberal and then there communist, and many gradations in between but just why does that not apply to people who voted for Trump, only for those against Trump?

The alt-right is a the name of a political movement chosen by members of that movement. People self-identify as Alt Right.Robovski wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 1:48 am The alt-right is a term applied to others so readily it is essentially meaningless. Where is the right? The alt-right? You want to know what "alt right" means? It means somebody who posts on the alt-right forums, who goes to alt-right rallys, and/or who says "I'm part of the Alt Right" on their OkCupid profile.

Well nobody would ever mistake you for being left wing, so that's a factor.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 7:04 amI had no idea if i posted on a left wiong forum i became left wing.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 5:28 amThe alt-right is a the name of a political movement chosen by members of that movement. Yeah, instead of having to prove god exists, make the atheists prove he doesn't. Great logic.Worffan101 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:42 pm I think I'll challenge you to disprove by counterexample instead.
Strange you focus on the age as well, but honestly every day. And not all Trumpsters are white, either. Actually one of the biggest fanboys I know is the son of Chinese immigrants. When was the last time you saw a white guy under 20 who was a Trump fanboy and explicitly not alt-right?
Evidence does not bear that out.I mean, for crying out loud. We have a President whose campaign and Presidency are deeply rooted in pandering to white supremacists,
Because they were going to vote Clinton, right?who's supported by an online network of devoted Nazis called the 'Alt-right',
Maybe in your state.whose non-Nazi support increasingly is deserting him because he keeps fucking Middle America over in pursuit of his vanity projects, and something like 80% of young people hate him with an undying passion.
Evidence does not bear that out. It's not that complicated, people. Trump is a racist and a sizable portion of his dwindling fanbase is outright Nazis, like those "incel" freaks and the 8chan crowd.

Between this and the interchangeable use of the Nazi label, it's obvious you don't really understand either. But I suppose this is unsurprising given the liberal use of both labels to attack anyone who doesn't agree 100% with the "progressive" ideology.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 5:28 am The alt-right is a the name of a political movement chosen by members of that movement. Ignore the evidence if you like. BUt the fact of the matter is that "Alt-right"--as stated by the FOUNDER of the alt-right identity movement itself--is nothing but a cover word for Nazis since being a Nazi is no longer socially acceptable. The members of the neo-Nazi/alt-right movement support Trump for his racist policies (including his latest clever idea, stripping citizenship from insufficiently white people in the Southwest in defiance of the 14th amendment, because fabricating confusion about people's birth certificates is SO totally the action of the defender of American values... ), they hate Jews, LGBT people, women, and anyone who isn't lily-white, they have murdered dozens of people (ranging from Canadians to Heather Heyer to all those people Dylan Roof and Elliot Rodger murdered), and they are heavily slanted towards young, male, 8chan and 4chan-frequenting whites.
If I see an openly Trump-supporting white male under 30, it's nearly certain that he's a Nazi--doubly so if he shows typical channer/incel traits like using "Chad", "Stacy", "soyboy", or "cuck" as insults, subscribing to the Qanon antisemitic conspiracy, or unironically citing Breitbart as if it's actual evidence and not a Nazi propaganda mill run by a guy who adores French pro-Nazi traitor Charles Maurras. The threat from these un-American scum is real, they have murdered people already (see: Roof, Minassian, the guy who murdered Heather Heyer, Rodger, etc.) and will continue to do so because their entire identity is built on mindless hate and the belief that they are superior and everybody else deserves only death or enslavement. They follow an explicitly murderous and genocidal ideology rooted entirely in mindless hate. They oppose democracy since that would get in the way of their personality cult around Trump.
They're no better than Maoists, the Khmer Rouge, the OG Nazis, Pinochet, the Estado Novo, Radovan Karadzic, or freakin' Mussolini. And they need to be opposed, called out, and named for the terrorist bastards they are.
