ICE agents set trap for immigrants seeking legal residency

"Two federal immigration agencies worked together in a coordinated effort to set deportation traps for unsuspecting immigrants seeking legal status, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) alleged in a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen this week."

Of course. Much easier to catch them then the actual criminals who are causing all the problems. Same reason you set up a gun registration when you want to confiscate them. ;)

Yeah, but catching the coyotes and the employers who utilize them, that would take more work. And would mean arresting actual citizens. That's not fun, man.

I hate to say it but it reminds me of the drug seizure laws that went into effect in the late eighties. Where if they found so much as a marijuana seed they could take the property in question from the owners and sell it. And I do not think I need to quote the many articles about how this went wrong.
But my point is, a law intended to tackle drug traffickers and well off dealers. Was used to take things from anyone who had something nice. Because bullying regular citizens is easier than taking on real criminals.

And that's why I'm sympathetic toward libertarians, even if I'm not one.

Stuff like this is why I have to spend half an hour every morning just trying to work up the will to get out of bed. I mean, regardless of your position on immigration, this is a federal agency acting like a Silver Age Batman villain.

I'm not that bothered by Calendar Man. KGBeast got walled up and left to die, I mean maybe Clock King is dangerous if not predictable.

Here is an easy way not to get arrested.

1) Go back to Mexico before you get caught.

2) Apply for citizenship from there.
