Re: Toddler dies from ICE neglect
A) The child died six weeks after leaving the detention center. From the report it is unclear, which type of virus infection it had, but the two most common variants of viral pneumonitis is either Influenza, which has an incubation time of 1 to 4 days (5-7 for clear symptoms) or HRVS, which has an incubation time of 4 to 5 days. So something doesn't add up here.
B) The parents apparently visited three different hospitals, with it being unclear when they visited the first hospital. Why exactly? Now granted I don't know the US' hospital system, but here in Germany you usually only change the hospital for two reasons: You want to be closer to family or friends or you want to be treated by a particular specialist. Apparently a bunch of pediatricians reviewed the case and found no mal-treatment (with it being unclear whether that extends to a potential treatment in the detention center), so why the hospital-hopping?
C) Both HRSV and Influenza have the same vectors, so it's really easy to contract those viral infections, even if you take care.

Re: Toddler dies from ICE neglect
The only detail that actually matters here, of course, is that this child was separated from their parents by a nebulous government agency that mostly exists these days to do cartoonish evil and help Trump humiliate himself on the international stage more.
Or to put it another way, the ensuing media circus could have been EASILY avoided if only ICE hadn't put kids into concentration camps--I mean, 'tender age centers'--for having the wrong skin color.
Also, why do we have immigration quotas, anyway? Our economy's always historically boomed the most when immigration was high, immigrants literally bring labor in, allowing processing of more resources and more production which equals higher GDP and more capital. You don't have to be a goddamn commie to understand that.

Madner Kami, it's a lot easier to contract these diseases when you're in an overcrowded facility that third-party doctors are kept out of.

Like the supermarket I work in or the public transportation I use on a daily basis? Come on. Unless there's clear evidence for neglect, this isn't a news-item worth to be reported about, but scandalization for the clicks.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 9:50 am Madner Kami, it's a lot easier to contract these diseases when you're in an overcrowded facility that third-party doctors are kept out of.

Hey, guess what. We've already found kids crossing the boarder with adults who are NOT their parents, and keeping kids and adults in one place is not acceptable.Worffan101 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 6:29 am The only detail that actually matters here, of course, is that this child was separated from their parents by a nebulous government agency that mostly exists these days to do cartoonish evil and help Trump humiliate himself on the international stage more.

Way to put the cart before the horse. Jobs don't appear out of nowhere, and they especially don't appear when a bunch of under-educated (if not out right illiterate) minimum wage workers cross the boarder. All they do is take the jobs of the locals and drive wages down. It's no coincidence that wages have been stagnant since the late 1970's.
How's the economies of Europe doing? Especially places like Italy. Did that increase in "labor" improve the economy or did the out right illiterate Muslim immigrants find no place in the industrial and post industrial economies of Europe leading to an overall drain in resources do to the hefty welfare state designed to handle the small shrinking populations of Europe?

Oh my God, you are a commie. You're using the Labor Theory of Value and the concept of Production = Wealth to justify Globalism.Worffan101 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 6:29 am Also, why do we have immigration quotas, anyway? Why is it that communists can't understand the concept that just because you can make something doesn't mean it's worth doing so, or that just because you did make something doesn't mean that thing is worth something.

Question: Why was the child taken off the respirator?
