Wonder who he was running against. Of course with some states it doesn't matter. My own state just ousted one of its senators, seemingly just because she was a Democrat, in spite of the fact that she actually went against her party on a number of issues, including gun rights, and has done quite a bit to protect our primary industry - agriculture. Meanwhile, they elected a verified crook to replace her, who also happens to be full Trade War (which I'm sure won't hurt crop of livestock trading at all...), apparently just because he was a Republican, who campaign largely consisted of riding on Trump's coat tails.
