VOY: Revulsion (October 2017)
Ah, the "TEACH ME FUN" alien. Always insufferable, and yet they pop up way more frequently than they deserve to!
Always did have a soft spot for episodes the fade to Jazz. That's more of a DS9 thing, though.

To play devil's advocate I guess, Seven at this time was being portrayed more like a girl in a woman's body whereas once they ditched her silver catsuit she became the hardass we know and love later on. Maybe even Kim thought twice about it. That aside though, when you pursue a woman throughout the entire episode and then balk when she gives you exactly what you want is some good evidence that Harry is in the closet.PerrySimm wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 12:33 amVOY: Revulsion (October 2017)

It's a famous Gershwin Ballad. Kind of a love song and it's meant to be emblematic of the relationship between the Doctor and Seven, I think. She's a little lamb lost in the wood, he's not the man some girls think of.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 6:47 pm You know, I really don't get why this episode is titled "Somebody to Watch Over Me". =S
I'd hope so. The way she was acting, like she's got the emotional age of a 10 year old, that makes that whole situation squicky. Of course, that's when Harry was actually determined to pursue her, really adding to the squick, and once she grew up and gained some self-confidence and was more socially adjusted, he lost interest. It really makes me wonder how much of Harry's warped sexuality was intentional by the part of the writers.clearspira wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 1:31 am To play devil's advocate I guess, Seven at this time was being portrayed more like a girl in a woman's body whereas once they ditched her silver catsuit she became the hardass we know and love later on. So, was it ever established just how long 7 had spent as a drone? Because as I recall, when The Borg assimilate children, they shove them into a maturation chamber to accelerate their growth. In which case, she might not actually be much older than 10 when we first meet her.bronnt wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 5:25 amI'd hope so. She's the only one who was de-borgified while having been assimilated as a child. By all means, she should've been in the position of Dune's Alia. Born with the knowledge of a thousand lives, but lacking an adult self.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 6:57 amhttp://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Seven_of_NineJ!! wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 6:40 amSo, was it ever established just how long 7 had spent as a drone? According to that it was 18 years.
My impression was that she was distinctive as a Borg drone due to being so young when they captured her, but I guess i wouldn't be able to explain why she would be different from other kids that you mentioned, which the Borg most likely assimilated plenty of lol.
I guess she is very much different than people that are assimilated after they have already matured.
