The TAS theme is Layla by Eric Clapton. I think it's comtemporary, beyond that. . .

All else aside, most if not all of them just fit really well on a purely mood-based level. Regardless of the lyrical theme or the background of the song, they all seem to compliment the "feel" of the subject series/film pretty well. Sometimes in a straight, admiring way, sometimes in a cheeky parodying way, but they all "click" on a purely aesthetic level IMO.

It's something I always dig on every time he debuts a new series or movie actually. A small thing, compared to the actual substance of the review, but something that I admire none the less.

It's clear from them what era he grew up in, and he likes to bring back some of the music and have them put a twist of humour to the show.
