The practice of making High box-office expected performance movies
With bigger investment comes bigger reward, but is this a healthy risk-reward practice? How much of the movie industry follows this model, along with maybe any tentpole endeavors included?

I'd actually like to see Hollywood stop making as many of these high-budget blockbusters in favor of lower-budget films that carry a much lower risk. Maybe they'd actually start taking some risks again then.

I'm wondering why they don't do this in the first place. Throwing all your eggs into one basket was historically a recipe for disaster and still is and it's something you only ever do when either you think you can not fail or if you have no other choice and must do a Hail Mary.

I think they have gotten too caught up in the huge returns from the blockbusters. They can't think in the long term enough to realize they'd probably make more on smaller budget films spread out over time than putting all their eggs in one basket and hoping for one big instant return.

Well for instance, Marvel's approach involves a lot of principles of provision that make for reliable integrity with a respectful amount of creativity and diversity of artistic tone. Respectable, at least, more or less with a considerable amount of people.
They have also had an effective tentpole operation that fills with golfballs, pebbles, sand, and beer.
They've pretty much become successful in most anything they've partaken in, and have only disenfranchised the netflix shows for their own prospective pursuit with the streaming service.

Obviously they take provisions by Disney on account of it wanting to have an ever consistent brand of family friendly content, even though they've had r-rated companies in the past. Disney very much wants their name on the Marvel products, even if it's just to be backstage during performance.

I want Netflix to rewire American brains toward subtitles, making it possible for Korean, Japanese, Indian, Russian, French etc blockbusters to compete with American blockbusters in American theaters.
