When did you discover Chuck's SF Debris show and how?

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

It's always fun to picture Chuck on SD.net.

I think I stumbled across this show via Linkara. Somewhere in the Blip days.

My first writing to Chuck was May 7th 2014. Commenting on ST: Insurrection
It as well as a discussion on the prime directive had come up in the Star Trek Online forums and directed me here.
I have never regretted it.

Ahh, the Prime Directive. The most misused law in all of sci-fi.

Okay that sounds like a challenge. Guys what other fictional laws have been abused and misused in Scifi?
My contender is the first law of robotics. No robot may harm a human or allow one to come to harm through action or inaction.

Sometime in 2009 or 2010, I'm pretty sure it just popped into my Youtube recommended list because I was watching a lot of internet reviews.

Ah, remember the glory days of internet reviews? Man, that was so long ago.

Sometime in late 2008 or early 2009. Back when he was primarily posting reviews of VOYAGER and ENTERPRISE, then occasionally dabbling on other Trek shows.

I forgot how exactly, but this was around the time that I decided to watch every single episode of every Trek series, which I had never done before then. Chuck's reviews made good companion pieces, especially once dived into VOY and ENT, both shows lasting five months which felt more like an eternity. This was before Netflix streaming became big, when I was just watching via DVD by mail. Four episodes a day, just to keep the mail flow going.

I found the SF Debris reviews before Blip, and I actually forget how, exactly.

I want to say it was because someone like Linkara mentioned them, but I don't really remember exactly when I stumbled upon his reviews.

I DO, however, remember the point where I was beyond sure I'd be a long term fan of the SF Debris reviews (Which also vaguly dates when I found the reviews in the first place.) :

It was the review of The Thaw.

A couple months before The Thaw, I'd started watching the various videos, and I enjoyed seeing the bad Voyager episodes torn to shreds. In fact, that was pretty much all I'd seen up until The Thaw.

And quite honestly, The Thaw was one of my favorite episodes from Voyager, so I wasn't sure how Chuck was going to handle it, and if he was just going to tear it apart too. I wan't sure what to make of the consistent stinger of "I'm afraid..." "I knooow!" at the end of each video at the time.

Well... the insightful analysis, and rather hilarious commentary, as well as how the good quality episode was held up as being truly good was a delightful surprise.

So... a couple months before the original airing of The Thaw's review, and most likely via recommendation/reviewers respect recommendation via Linkara and others.

...

Also maybe TV Tropes, as I was an avid Troper back then.
