Kirk as a psychotic, sexist, Klingon-hater, wannabe-God

Post by King Green »

how do you like this topic, Captain Kirk being a beyond-God's-limits psycho, who impregnates anything with a vagina(possible to become genetically-immortal), Klingon-hater (self-explanatory+ treating their people like jerkass Woobies, TV tropes; look it up), wannabe-God who own ego makes it a threat of coming into our reality.

If I'm wrong please say the correction statements and tell at the very least why Kirk would the kill the false supreme-being in ST-5(though there is a theory that Kirk did intend to kill God?)

It is customary to provide illustrative examples/evidence when attempting to put forward an Alternate Character Interpretation (TV Tropes, look it up). You have not done so, and thus I don't think much of anything about your topic.

Gotta say, though, that if Kirk's objective is to "impregnate anything with a vagina," then he totally dropped the ball compared to, say, Genghis Khan, given that between Where No Man Has Gone Before and Star Trek 6, we see exactly one Kirk Jr. (unless I'm forgetting something major) So that's strike one.

As far as killing the fake-god in Star Trek 5, I'd like to point out that it was Spock who pulled the trigger. Also, it did threaten to kill Kirk, Bones and (presumably) Spock "terribly," so turnabout is fair play. strike two.

If this were Baseball, I'd need a strike three to "win," but it's not.

In TOS:"The Conscience of the King" Kirk has a somber role to play in taking down someone that fits that description far more credibly. See also TOS:"Whom Gods Destroy", among others.

Sure, he did nearly become a father again in TOS:"The Paradise Syndrome". But he's not out for the high score or anything. There's a fair bit of difference between romance and procreation.

all things considered, kirk must be the least fertile man in the galaxy if he only ever produced one kid.

Because the 60's were an asshole to everyone in the filming business!

Nah, Kirk is not the problem. 60s Shatner was maybe, personally, a little too self-absorbed, but Kirk the character was lucid, calculating, and a fair bit of the excess bravado was just part of the act, like with Captain Jellico.

Yet everyone blows his character traits all out of proportion.
