And the next day Yukaphile has in charge of the Lunchroom and decreed "Rich kids eat swan and caviar and tiger; poor kids get on your hands and knees so Rich kids can sit on you; middle-income kids crawl on the floor and lick up any crumbs the Rich kids drop.

I believe the hamfisted point is that treating everyone the exact same way can cause problems.
