Journalist Assaulted By Antifa in Portland

Assaulted with Milkshakes that contained quick-drying cement.

Anybody still want to pretend this 'anti-fascist' mob is little more than a bunch of fascist thugs looking for an excuse to hurt people?

I'm not surprised. Like I've said before - they're everything they claim to hate.

I wouldn't call them fascist, just authoritarian. Not that being authoritarian is much of a lesser evil.

Edit: By my understanding, many on the left "embrace diversity of tactics," which in this case comes down to they won't criticize antifa.

Fascism is just a kind of authoritarian. It's like saying squares are also rectangles.

Fascism is a kind of authoritarian, but not all authoritarians are fascists. The same way that all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares.

Well that's certainly a strong take on them.

Yeah but it's distinct in that it's a broader condition than the more specified Fascists.

The irony being that these supposed anti-fascists think and act just like fascists.

These are the same young brats who withheld their precious virgin votes for Clinton because Saint Sanders lost fair and square even though they aligned 70% on the same issues she did, and they see Trump's 2016 victory as a springboard to launch the revolution they've always dreamed of.

Even so, I feel like an assessment of authoritarian is somewhat light or maybe empty considering they don't have any state backed support or recognition. Kinda the same deal as terrorists; I don't consider them as any kind of distinct authority manifestation, until maybe something happens like a coup d'etat becomes successful or the taliban takes over afghanistan.
