When Transformers Animated hit I took one look at the style of the art and assumed the worst. But the writing pulled you in. And really the bios for those guys before launch were not impressive either.
So I guess take a page from the Star Fleet manual and get to know the show a bit before condemning or praising it. Best I can see.

It looks exactly what I expected it would be. No doubt since they brought on of its writers on board, it will take a lot of inspiration from Rick and Morty in the hopes of going after that crowd.

I hope not. Maybe like Deathstroke in Teen Titans because he was actually good villain for entire series.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2019 12:20 am He would be like Deathstroke in Teen Titans Go

Meh. It's somewhat better-looking than I expected, but, meh. If they're going for "it only has to be better than TAS" then sure, they're already there. But they maybe don't have the ambition of Futurama to use animation as a medium to tell stories that are too spendy for live television, and since it's Star Trek they don't have a lot of leeway to veer into the truly absurd. It's entirely possible the show is just going to go for the cheap laughs.
If I do go out of my way to watch it, I'll probably get it all out of the way on some otherwise abandoned weekend.

Re: Star Trek: Lower Decks
I would like a show about the lower decks being screw over having to take over from the Incompetent of the leaders. Like having a scientific Mission that could save dozens of life be lead by a kid who doesn't have the experience to do it right and only incharge because of nepotism, or Starfleet military doesn't get the experience he or she needs because the captain and his crew rarely I'd ever does combat drills and does if poorly when they do out of spite. Maybe someone snap because the second in command is a childish bully, or maybe someone family dad and he repermanded for mourning in his free time.

I want a kids Trek show that is like The Goonies. Show it from the perspective of a bunch of Naomi Wildman age kids. Let them get into stuff like hologram novels that end up taking over the ship and stuff. Make it fun.

I feel like we could do a story where the lower decks is in charge due to the higher up in competent.
