Seriously, this is a Sci-Fi board. When was there ever an implication that we (in general) were into sports? This whole topic seems super out of place.

There are 19000ish posts on the Sci-Fi and Fantasy board, and another 19000ish on the Video Reviews board. There's 15000ish on the news board. Even if we're generous and say a quarter drift into politics, there's still about a 4000 post lead on science fiction over politics.
