Upcoming Review: Gravity Falls - Season 1

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

So, in general, I'm waiting for one of my requests to be filmed before I go through with making another one. Of course, I kinda made that request years ago, so... I have no idea where it is in the queue right now. I'd probably have a better shot at getting it if I became a patreon now that I think about it.
Well I'm really trying to push forward. Next month I'll be covering 30 separate episodes (Walking Dead, 3 B5, 4 X-Files, 15 Gravity Falls, 4 anime, 3 Star Treks), plus 2 films and a Short Treks. I'd get into it more but I'm off to work on the demonstrable application of psychological phenomena in Terra Prime.
I want it make clear that I meant no disrespect, clearly you have a busy schedule and I'm not one to nag about stuff. Especially since, I requested a film and those take time and are lower priority given this series primarily covers television. I have no real expectations about it being filmed sooner than others.

I apologize for sounding ungrateful, sir. I hope you understand it was not intended that way. Again, I'm more than aware you're busy and a lot of other people make requests. Next time I'll go through more proper channels.
No no no no no no no no no no!

No!

I bit off far more than I could chew, I've no one to blame for that but myself, and everyone who is waiting has every right to be disappointed in me. I only hoped to perhaps show that I'm doing my best to make amends for a long string of bad decisions.

I can clearly see that, sir. At times, I worry I've said something wrong and I apologize over silly things. Mostly when no one is actually angry at me. I'm not really worried about the request getting filled, I'm sure you'll get around to it eventually. And I'm sure so many other people have their own requests they really have been waiting on a long time for, so I'm hardly the most important person here.

In any case, I know you'll get to it eventually. I can wait.

It begins!

Even in his first appearance, Gideon is like watching a seasoned abuser manipulate and guilt his victim into actions they know are bad choices, it's eerie and sells his menace in a very visceral way.

As epic as the place being on fire during the sword fight always is, I would say that would make it way too one sided considering the enemies were wax guys.

One thing I think is very notable is how Gideon kept putting Mabel in situations where it is hard/impossible to say no to, which is certainly a form of manipulation.

I would have thought the collective term for gnomes was a lawn.

Let's check the gnomenclature...

Apparently a group of Gnomes or Halflings is a "shortage".

I consider "Gravity Falls" one of my favorite shows.
I too have a sibling (not a twin, but a younger brother who is the more free spirit of the two of us) and most of the material and creative decisions that show up in the series are like stuff right out of my own Dungeons and Dragons game.

And what is more... It is not even finished.
The second season is comically rushed with at least 2 seasons worth of material smooshed down into only one. Alex Hirsh (the shows creator and... he is Dipper) was so exhausted from making the first season that he almost didn't bother with the second and he ended up getting a talking to by John Stewart (the comedian, not the Green Lantern) into finishing the story.

I do not want to spoil anything, but it is clear from the lack of development of one KEY CHARACTER in the second half of season 2, that there was supposed to be a lot more set up and development.

It makes me sad that I did not get another 20 episodes sprinkled in and fleshing out season 2 into a full season 2 and 3, but I do love what I got.

I do find Chuck comment that Stan loves nothing more than money when you seen what he did in the last episode.
