It doesn’t really bother me since it can be simply explained away that Jango was already on the outs with his culture and he didn’t care.

Jango used to be part of faction called True Mandalorians so I guess either they didn't have that rule or he chose to drop following it after his mentor died. But he isn't only Mandalorian who didn't follow that rule is who knows what that is about.

Does he do all his eating and drinking in private? Because the helmet rule might be inconvenient for going out to restaurants and bars unless the visor/faceplate can be raised just high enough to expose his mouth.

What if he needs a shave and/or a haircut?

Are there Mandalorian dentists he can go to if he has a toothache?

I think it would be awkward for treating any head trauma, but maybe droids don't count. Or maybe they just accept untreated head wounds and bad teeth because, "this is the way."

Funny you mention that, because I used to have a helmet like Mando's and it did make going out to restaurants and bars inconvenient. The visor /faceplate couldn't be raised high enough.

Also I wasn't able to shave and/or get a haircut in public.
