Coronavirus - the new pandemic

I lost just over half a stone of body weight in a week, I can't taste or smell a bloody thing, my lung capacity is shot and I have just spent a week on my back. But the cough and temp is gone.

I have to say, I am relatively young and relatively healthy as I work a physical job. And this bug kicked my ass. I can see how it would kill the old and unhealthy. Those of you expecting to greet something akin to the common cold are going to be surprised.
Over seven pounds? Wow. It sounds like you're on the mend, though, and that's great news!

I could do with losing some weight but I think I'll stick to the tried and tested and never have the willpower to do methods.

Glad to hear you're more or less back on your feet clearspira.

3.18 kg isn't that bad. That could just be the difference in water weight.

Good to hear things have been improving a bit, clearspira.

This thing may have reached or passed its peak in many places, but the possible effects of a second wave is a huge concern for me right now. Obviously we don't know what the long term fallout from the first wave will be (be it medically, economically, etc.) whenever it's actually over, but at least in America I'm not sure how many people will be obeying quarantine/isolation measures a second time around.

So stay indoors. Don't treat this as if it's over. Keep inside, despite the tempting whether wherever you may live. I have my streaming sites, video games, and old-school music and books to keep me entertained. I don't need to go out. Even if I'm getting a little stir-crazy by now. Better that than dead, or infecting your family.

Okay, so I got like, the gym, movies once in a while, and reading as an elective chore at the coffee house. So those being the entirety of inconveniences (to my personal life), my outside life isn't impacted save for more people walking all over the road and amusement park lines for places.
