From there NATO would probably go full steam, but this isn't really something any leaders want.

Restructuring US global military operations would disassemble current US hegemonic conditions in favor of possibly reigniting the Cold War under new terms.
Which is why the US hasn't gotten involved directly. It would create a WW3 even if you take away the nuclear war part of it.

Europe would get involves with the US, Middle East could. China might join with Russia. Japan might end up joining the US and Europe if China joins Russia. Or stay neutral.
I got nothing to say here.

The Ukrainian forces are making a good try at attempting to retake Kherson. To quote: Military sources described Kherson as "politically the nearest Russia has to a jewel in the crown of its occupation" - and its loss, they say, "would severely undermine Russia's attempts to paint the occupation as a success".
Moscow was now "moving the maximum number of troops in the Kherson direction", said Oleksiy Danilov, who is secretary of Ukraine's National Security Council, on Wednesday evening.

Apparently the secret to this counter-attack is the US made M142 HIMARS rocket system taking out a key bridge. Once again proving that Vladimir ''Tactical Genius'' Putin has completely misjudged Western involvement in this war. He has provoked a hot proxy war with the world's most powerful superpower and the world's most powerful military alliance.

Taking down the bridge has taken a couple of days and it was only last night, that the bridge's critical support structure was damaged beyond immediatly being fixed. Will take a complete rebuilt of the damaged section of the bridge, before even light vehicles can cross, from what I understand. The more critical bridge is just a few kilometers upstream though, a railway bridge. If that goes down as well, the troops on the north side of the river are practically dead in the water, as using the next logistically revelant bridge would lead to a drop by nearly 80% or more of their supply capacity, making their position on the northern bank unsustainable. Russia will definitly opt to deploy pontoon bridges, but those are really easy to take down.

Steven Seagal is in eastern Ukraine making a “documentary” aimed at “changing people’s perception” of the Ukraine war. “Ninety-eight percent of people who are talking about the conflict in media have never been in the Donbas. That’s why the world doesn’t know the truth. I want to change the perception of this war.”

Seagal, who was granted Russian citizenship in 2016 and is friends with Putin, claims to have “personally examined the evidence, including pieces of American rockets, that prove Kyiv is responsible for the deaths of Ukrainian POWs at Olenivka prison.”

Russian Troops cut off in Kherson amid tactical withdraw.

I've been too busy to follow the war recently, but it looks like the Ukrainians caught the Russian army by surprise, thanks to the American missiles. The Russians panicked and pulled out in a hurry, so quickly that not all their forces got the order to bug out and might be trapped.

It's a bad sign when an army can't even retreat properly...

It appears, that the long awaited ukrainian sommer-offensive in the Cherson region has begun tonight. Through all the night, russian positions were under heavy artillery-fire, the three bridges in the region barely allow foot-traffic only and in the past week, 10 major ammo-dumps were HIMARS'd into oblivion already. The Russians are in a really tight spot there and since even the frontlines are reported to recieve HIMARS-attention already instead of the backwaters, there's no denial that something is happening. Footage is sparse and Twitter-accounts from Kiyv to Moscow are running hot. May the Heros and heroines of Ukraine live to tell the tale of their victory to their great-grandkids.

Video of a russian soldier, audibly distraught and desperately hiding in the bushworks. Nothing graphical, but still not for the faint-hearted. His words, constantly interupted by explosions and his desperate, heavy breathing, roughly translate to:
They broke through the first line of the defences... Tanks... Planes... Artillery... It's the 29th *video cuts off*
Meanwhile, Germany announces the Delivery of another package of artillery and ammunition, worth north of 600 Million Euros. I only have german sources for that, unfortunately.
