I'm not too sure about anything, but he sounded kind of aged in Logan.
For one: Logan's Professor X is a frelling depressing character, he aged, he lost his friends, so, did you expect him to sound "commanding"?
Same goes for Jean Luc in Star Trek Picard - he basically IS Logans Professor X, what should not surprise, since Patrick Stewart needed to work on Logan to see, how one could tell different stories about Jean Luc.
So of course he doesn't sound "Commanding".
And then, there is the real-life fact that our good Sir Patrick Stewart just turned frelling
