I think it's his voice. Age does change your voice afterall.

It worked for that one scene but it is noticable. Do a whole movie with him probably won't be an issue. Especially if they do Vader right.
I got nothing to say here.

Try telling that to Steven Tyler.

Singing masks alot. In fact it masks accent.

But compare James Earl Jones (JEJ) from his portrayal in E3 to Rogue One ans there is a difference. There is something off and maybe someone with a better ear for sound, music and voice could help.

Don't get me wrong if they make a Vader movie and all the critics can say is that Vader sounds old due to James Earl Jones being old too I would wall that a success. I mean us as fans do a collective 'whatever'.
I got nothing to say here.

Oh and far as voices. Patrick Stewart caught be off guard the most. He truly lost that commanding voice he once had.

I'm not too sure about anything, but he sounded kind of aged in Logan.

For one: Logan's Professor X is a frelling depressing character, he aged, he lost his friends, so, did you expect him to sound "commanding"?
Same goes for Jean Luc in Star Trek Picard - he basically IS Logans Professor X, what should not surprise, since Patrick Stewart needed to work on Logan to see, how one could tell different stories about Jean Luc.
So of course he doesn't sound "Commanding".
And then, there is the real-life fact that our good Sir Patrick Stewart just turned frelling EIGHTY two weeks ago. Of course he sounds a bit frail.
Nichelle Nichols is just 7 years older than Sir Patrick - and she sounds a bit frail, too.

Shatner's older.
And doesn't always sound that commanding.

Point being: My goodness - yeah, Sir Patrick sounds as if he is suffering from a stroke any second. So? What are you gonna do about it? Are you going to prohibit older people to act? Are you saying "Only those, who still have a booming voice are allowed to act?"

He developed a more enlightened mood probably since like Days of Future Past.

I follow him on Facebook. Lately he does a Daily Sonnet where he reads from a book. From Logan to Picard, he does sound like that now.

He is afterall 80 now. For all jokes about him not aging he certainly caught me off guard in Picard more than Logan. It happens people age, their voice changes, it just caught me off gaurd how frail he looks and sounds now.
I got nothing to say here.
